I thought it would be most appropriate to send our Christmas wishes in a blog post this year. This is our Christmas tree sitting outside at our campsite. While I write this Ivy and Lucy Pearl are happily baking Christmas cookies in the RV. Nothing like we used to do when we would give cookies out to all our neighbors but cookies will be made and cookies will be eaten. I think that chocolate crinkles and hamentaschen made the short list.
December has flown by as we have continued to work at our cabin host job; the girls wrapped up the semester in their virtual classes; Jeff has spent every spare minute working on JD Hardware Solutions stuff as well as flyfishing; and I joined Lucy Pearl in the Unicoi Lodge Restaurant working a few shifts a week. Add in Christmas shopping, mostly online, and a few quicks trips to town for groceries and stocking stuffers and we have been busy! Jeff and I also sat down and made plans for when we leave Unicoi at the end of January. It is hard to believe that we are approaching our last month here.
Merry Christmas! We are so thankful for our friends and family and for every new friend that we meet in this grand new life of ours. I also really appreciate all of you who bother to read these blog posts! I will keep this one short and sweet - Merry Christmas from our dowdsizing family - Jeff, Monica, Lucy Pearl, Ivy & Zeke. May God bless you this Christmas season with a true sense of His love and purpose for your life, especially in light of everything we have all experienced in 2020.
